1 Terms Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the conditions and procedures for using the Sago app service ("Service") provided by Sago ("we", "us", or "our"), as well as the rights, duties, and responsibilities between us and users.
By using this Service, you are deemed to agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms are prepared under Korean law and include additional provisions applicable to U.S. residents.
2 Service Definition and Purpose
Sago is a mobile application that helps users systematically manage the location of items in their home.
Key Features
- Item Registration: Register and manage item names, quantities, and locations
- Location Management: Set up hierarchical location structures (Room > Furniture > Drawer, etc.)
- Search Function: Quick search by item name or location name
- Cloud Backup: Cloud storage and cross-device sync when signed up
Service Environment
- Supported Platform: Android
- Network: Works offline (Internet connection required for cloud backup)
- Supported Languages: Korean, English
3 User Obligations
Users must comply with the following when using the Service:
Requirements
- Provide accurate information when signing up and update it promptly when changes occur.
- Do not misappropriate others' personal information or register false information.
- Do not engage in activities that interfere with the stable operation of the Service.
- Do not commercially use information obtained through the Service without our prior consent.
Prohibited Activities
- Activities that breach Service security or hack the system
- Distributing malware, viruses, etc.
- Posting content that defames or damages the reputation of others
- Using the Service for illegal purposes
- Unauthorized access using automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.)
We may restrict Service access or delete accounts of users who violate these obligations.
4 Service Provider Obligations
We comply with the following to provide stable service to users:
- Service Provision: We strive to provide Service 24/7, year-round. However, Service may be temporarily suspended for unavoidable reasons such as system maintenance.
- Privacy Protection: We safely protect users' personal information in accordance with applicable laws.
- Customer Support: We respond to user inquiries within 1-2 business days.
- Notice Obligation: We provide advance notice of important matters such as service changes and terms revisions.
5 Intellectual Property Rights
Intellectual property rights related to the Service are distinguished as follows:
Our Rights
- All intellectual property rights to the Service's design, logos, trademarks, software, technology, and content belong to us.
- Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
User Rights
- Rights to data such as items and locations registered by users in the Service belong to the users.
- We do not use user data for purposes other than providing the Service.
6 Disclaimer
We are not liable in the following cases:
- Service interruption due to force majeure such as natural disasters, war, terrorism, or government regulations
- Service disruption caused by user negligence
- Accuracy, reliability, or legality of information registered by users
- Damages arising from use of free services
- Disputes between users or between users and third parties
- Damages caused by third parties illegally accessing our servers (unless due to our intentional misconduct or gross negligence)
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
7 Service Changes and Suspension
We may change or suspend all or part of the Service in the following cases:
Service Changes
- Adding new features or improving existing features
- Changing service content due to operational or technical needs
- Adjusting services due to changes in applicable laws
Service Suspension
- Regular system maintenance, updates, and equipment replacement
- Service suspension by telecommunications carriers as prescribed by the Telecommunications Business Act
- Service termination based on our business decisions
When changing or suspending the Service, we will notify users at least 30 days in advance through in-app notices or email. However, we may provide post-notification in urgent cases.
When terminating the Service, we will provide users an opportunity to back up their data.
8 Terms Changes
We may change these Terms as necessary, following these procedures:
Change Procedure
- Advance Notice: We will notify users of changes at least 7 days in advance through website notices or email.
- Significant Changes: For changes that are disadvantageous or important to users, we will provide at least 30 days' notice.
- Right to Refuse: Users who do not agree to the changed Terms may discontinue use and withdraw from the Service.
- Deemed Consent: If users do not express refusal by the effective date after notice, they are deemed to have agreed.

9 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Interpretation of these Terms and disputes regarding Service use are governed as follows:
Korean Residents
- Governing Law: These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Jurisdiction: Disputes related to Service use shall be submitted to the court having jurisdiction over our headquarters location as the court of first instance.
U.S. Residents
- For U.S. residents, the 'Arbitration Agreement' section below applies.
10 Arbitration Agreement (U.S. Residents)
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
If you are a U.S. resident, all disputes between you and us will be resolved through binding individual arbitration.
Arbitration Agreement
- You and we agree to resolve all disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service through binding arbitration.
- Arbitration will be conducted under the Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
- Arbitration will be conducted in English and decided by a single arbitrator.
Class Action Waiver
You and we agree not to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or other representative actions. All disputes will be resolved individually only.
Small Claims Exception
You may resolve disputes in Small Claims Court if your individual claim is $10,000 or less.
Right to Opt Out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending an email to 97cowtop@gmail.com within 30 days of creating your account. Opting out will not affect your use of the Service.
11 Limitation of Liability (U.S. Residents)
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Limitation of Liability
- Our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the dispute or $100.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Excluded Damages
- Loss or corruption of data
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Cost of substitute services
- Damages from service interruption
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on indirect or incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
12 Warranty Disclaimer (U.S. Residents)
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

- Implied warranty of merchantability
- Implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranty of non-infringement
- Warranty of accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the Service
- Warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Warranty of security from breaches
You assume full responsibility for your use of the Service and acknowledge and accept all risks that may arise from using the Service.
